Rural Public Review

Write for us

We welcome clear, original proposals about shared land, local services, public spaces, local resources and the choices shaping rural public life.

What to propose

Send a focused idea with a clear reader question, the main point you would explain and why it remains useful beyond a passing news moment. We welcome explanatory, comparative, historical and carefully bounded how-it-works pieces. A pitch should identify its scope and avoid treating one place as representative of all rural communities.

What makes a strong pitch

Choose a subject readers can understand and act on without needing professional or official advice. Tell us what the piece will cover, what it will leave out and what material supports its factual claims. Original work should be accurate, readable and free of undisclosed promotional interests.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short summary and a brief note about your relevant experience; do not send confidential material. A proposal is not an agreement to publish.

Our point of view

Shared places deserve clear thinking

Rural life is shaped by decisions about land, facilities and services. We make those questions easier to follow without pretending every place has the same answer.
